Independent Egg Producers Co-op Ltd (IEP) are a major nationwide New Zealand egg supplier to retail and food service industries.
Business Challenge
One of IEP’s largest customers, Foodstuffs requested that the co-operative provide unified data from their 15 farms, using EDI. IEP required an effective, automated method of collating data sourced from their 15 farms, each of which operated one of five different accounting packages:

Flow demonstrated the ability to meet IEP’s challenge of EDI with Foodstuffs; firstly on a small scale with a single farm, Hessels Poultry Farm in the lower North Island. Soon after seeing the immediate benefits for Hessels, the wider co-operative consulted with Flow Software and the relationship grew to include system integrators Datagration.
Flow delivers its EDI solution as middleware between MYOB’s EXO Business suite at IEP’s head office, and the five different accounting systems being run by the co-operative’s member farms.
IEP now benefits from EDI with Foodstuffs, along with reports to track supplies.
